Derek Moore
Derek started dancing in 2010 when he broke his leg but wanted to be a part of a high school dance Ishita was organizing. Having both a musical and athletic background, he enjoyed dancing so much that he joined UFP, a competitive urban dance group, and through years of training, eventually became UFP’s Creative Director, where he led the team for several years. Derek was one of the founding members of IMGE at this time as well, in addition to collaborating creatively with Ishita. Derek left UFP in 2019 to pursue freelance choreography and independent studies in various dance styles. He currently studies flamenco through Pasion y Arte studio in Philadelphia. As a dancer with IMGE, Derek has performed at venues such as Seattle International Dance Festival, Lincoln Center, and Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
