Kristen Rigo

Kristen started dancing at the age of 10 because of her mother’s strong background in dance. She has studied a variety of different styles including hip hop, ballet, pointe, lyrical, and tap. Kristen has found a home at Arts in Motion Dance Academy in Matawan, helping young dancers develop their craft for over five years. She teaches at a recreational and competitive level within the studio. Over the years, Kristen has been recognized for her choreography by winning 1st place at competitions like USTD, Throw Down, and VIP dance competition, for junior and senior divisions. She is an alumni of UFP LLC., a well decorated hip hop company, which allowed her to perform in cities such Boston, New York, Washington, Canada, and more. Kristen has a great passion for dance and is always looking for opportunities to grow within the dance industry. She joined IMGE 3 years ago to expand her horizons. Joining IMGE has opened her eyes to a brand new and unique style of dance with roots in classical Indian and urban. While advancing her journey as a dancer, Kristen is completing her degree in secondary English education with a TSD endorsement (teacher of students with disabilities).
